I have extensive experience of consuming SOAP web services at Brighton and Hove Council. Using SQL OLE I have created stored procedures that:
- Issue SOAP requests and receive responses
- Store XML responses and use XPATH queries to data mine
- Error trap standard errors where services are non responsive
- Retrieve data from the HTTP header such as cookies
- Parse the responses to provide targeted and bespoke output
- Provide connection between web based platforms like Mendix and legacy systems for Social Care, Revs and Bens and Education legacy systems
