I have used PHP as a vehicle for communicating with SQL Server and mySQL databases, exposing SQL stored procedures as RESTful web servers:

  • Basic car sharing site with data extracted from mySQL
  • Created ODBC connections to SQL Server
  • Converted text to JSON for REST
  • Installed and configured PHP on IIS
